Blessing of the Fleet @ Historic St. Mary's City

Historic St. Mary’s City is proud to be the backdrop for the 7th District Optimist Club 2023 Blessing of the Fleet, which celebrates St. Mary’s County’s ties to the Chesapeake Bay watershed and the watermen who work its waters. Blessing of the Fleet commemorates the time-honored tradition of blessing the Southern Maryland watermen's fleet of boats.

The event will feature family entertainment, local food, art and craft vendors, a blessing ceremony, an evening concert, and a fireworks show!
