TAI CHI & QIGONG WORKSHOP at Historic St Mary’s City, under the new Margaret Brent pavilion, located on the State House lawn. Come enjoy the slow, mindful movements that improve health and lower stress.
This is a free, voluntary community service event and open to the public. However, prior experience is strongly suggested.
Thursday, August 13, from 8—9 a.m., basic Tai Chi warm-up exercises and Qigong forms will be presented, followed by Sun style Tai Chi Movement and Form.
Tuesday, August 18, from 8—9 a.m, basic Tai Chi warm-up exercises, and Qigong forms will be repeated followed by Yang style, Cheng Man-Ching (CMC) Movement, and form to include 21 CMC form, 37 CMC form, and the secret Third CMC.
The workshop will be led by Alex Kampf, a 30 year seasoned Tai Chi & Qigong practitioner, local tai chi teacher, and certified instructor by the American Tai Chi & Qigong Association(ATCQA).
All participants are responsible for their own physical safety and must sign a waiver. Masks and social distancing, of at least 6 feet, are a requirement for participation.
