St. Mary's County values all local shops, restaurants, accommodations, sites and attractions as partners in promoting our county and providing our visitors with the best experience possible.
Below, you will find information regarding how your tourism & hospitality location can participate.
As an official St. Mary’s County Tourism partner, you'll be connected to the tourism and hospitality industry within the county and will receive a variety of benefits. Best of all, it’s FREE!
You qualify as a "partner" if you represent a hospitality and tourism business, such as a museum, historic site, hotel, bed & breakfast, campground, restaurant, specialty shop, gallery, outfitter, charter boat captain, marina, water excursion, state park, hunting and fishing supplier, sports venue, agritourism site, golf course, winery and meeting and banquet venues.
Event Producers (those who represent a group that produces local tourism-related events) also qualify as partners. Smaller events should contact St. Mary's County Tourism to determine the appropriateness of their event being posted on the tourism website. These event producers can always consider posting on the county's community calendar on www.stmarysmd.com.
As a St. Mary’s County Tourism partner, you'll receive a variety of benefits. To receive these benefits, there are a few requirements that we ask each partner to abide by.
Invitations to Tourism Events
As a partner, you will be invited to attend tourism industry events hosted by St. Mary’s County Tourism, which will give you a great opportunity to network with other tourism and hospitality businesses and stay informed of industry news.
Possible Inclusion in Travel Writer Tours or Group Tour Itineraries
St. Mary's County Tourism works with qualified travel writers from around the Mid-Atlantic and East Coast with the goal of having interesting places in St. Mary's County featured in regional and national print & electronic publications. Writers will feature locations that stand out and are of interest to visitors, and St. Mary's County Tourism can help connect them to you via press trips or other tours. Similarly, group tour companies interested in bringing tour buses to St. Mary's County locations for single or multi-day trips also request interesting locations, lodging, dining and more for their itineraries. We can also connect these companies with our partners.
Posting of Events & Deals/Packages on the Tourism Website and Monthly Newsletter
Partners can have all of their events and specials posted on the St. Mary’s County Tourism website and included in the monthly tourism e-newsletter to reach a wider audience. Partners will be added to a distribution list to receive monthly reminders to provide this information. Please note that all submissions for the website or newsletter will be proofed for accuracy and reviewed for appropriateness to mission, goals and objectives of St. Mary’s County Tourism before being made public on the St. Mary’s County Tourism Website. St. Mary's County Tourism retains final say and approval over all listings and content on the website.

Provide Updated Listing Information, Logo & Images
To keep our website content consistent and as updated as possible, we ask that partners monitor their listing and events on the tourism website and to notify St. Mary's County Tourism if a listing, event, or other piece of relevant information on their tourism website needs to be updated.
Place St. Mary’s County Tourism Logo and Link on your Website as per the St. Mary’s County Tourism Logo Use Guidelines
Partners can download the St. Mary’s County Tourism logo from the website to place on their own website. Showing the logo on your website will let visitors know that you are a St. Mary’s County Tourism partner. Visitors will be able to click through to the St. Mary’s County Tourism website to find information on attractions, businesses and events near yours that they might also be interested in visiting.
Events: Make Destination Guide Available at Event Entrance or Ticket Area
With the St. Mary’s County Destination Guide available at the event entrance or ticket area of each partner event, more visitors will be introduced to all of the attractions, businesses, and events in St. Mary’s County has to offer, enhancing their visitor experience.
