Point No Point Lighthouse

Completed in 1905 with great difficulty, the octagon-shaped lighthouse stands 52 feet above the water and is two miles removed from the western shore of Chesapeake Bay, and six miles north of Point Lookout and the entrance to the Potomac River. Converted to an unmanned operation in 1962, the lighthouse is still an active aid to navigation with a light that flashes every six seconds from an acrylic lens that sits on the original lantern pedestal.

Point No Point Lighthouse is accessible by water only.
