Get ready for the 30th annual Southern Maryland Spring Festival from Thursday, May 1, to Sunday, May 4, at the St. Mary’s County Fairgrounds!
This year’s Southern Maryland Spring Festival promises activities for every age. Highlights include carnival rides from Snyder’s Attractions, children’s games, live performances—including a world-renowned magician—mouthwatering food and sweets, lemonade slushies, hayrides, face painting, artisan crafts, chainsaw carver artist Joe Wenal, a flower sale, pull tabs, raffles, and one of the largest indoor yard sales in the county. Special events include a Car Show and a Tractor Pull.
Award-winning magician Jay Mattioli will perform his dazzling “Electrifying Magic” show twice on Saturday afternoon in Tolerance Hall. Mattioli, a quarterfinalist on NBC’s “America’s Got Talent” and a finalist on Fox’s “Showtime at the Apollo,” has entertained audiences across the globe—from Egypt and Hong Kong to the Caribbean—and even performed for U.S. troops in the Middle East.
Entertainment at the outdoor pavilion will feature a mix of student performers and professional musicians, including an artist from Maryland’s Eastern Shore. Please note that hours and event times are subject to change due to inclement weather. Admission is $6 for adults, $3 for children aged 6 to 12, and free for children under 6. Attendees who bring a non-perishable canned food item will receive $1 off admission. Carnival ride bracelets and tickets are sold separately.
