Elm's Beach Park
Tobacco and Vape Free Park as of 1/1/2020
Fivehundred feet of shoreline with unsupervised swimming, picnicking and fishing. The parkhas a picnic pavilion, playground, portable restrooms, changing area and parking.
Hours of Operation:
Spring, Summer and Fall Months: April, May, June, July, August,
September, October, November - The park is open MONDAY
THROUGH FRIDAY - for vehicular traffic and all pedestrian users from
7:00 a.m. until sunset. The park is not staffed during the weekdays.
There are no entrance fees during the week.
Saturday, Sunday and Holidays: 8:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m. The park is
staffed during the WEEKENDS AND HOLIDAYS. Entrance fees are
charged on weekends andholidays beginning in May. (See fees
Winter Months: December, January, February, March
Weekday and Weekend: The park gate is closed for vehicular traffic.
You may walk in the park during these months. No fees are charged
at any time.

Season passes can be purchased at Recreation and Parks main office,
23150 Leonardhall Drive, Leonardtown. Passes will also be available

Hunting Information: Bow Hunting Only, starting on Sept. 15 (deerhunting only). Hunting permit is required and can be obtained at the Recreation & Parks office at 23150, Patuxent Building, Leonard Hall Drive, Leonardtown, MD 20650. Only 5hunters allowed in thehunting area at any one time and there is a sign in sheet at the park entrance. (19350 Back Door Road, Lexington Park, Md. 20653). Forhunting on Elm's Beach property managed by Maryland Department of Natural Resources, please call Maryland DNR for more information and permitting at 301-743-5161.

Take Rt. 235 south to past the turn for St. Mary's City. Take Forest Landing Road (the next left). Look for park entrance on the left. A small park that connects to the county board of education environmental education property at Elms Beach. Good for edge, pine forest/shrub, marsh, beach, and bay front birding.
