Port of Leonardtown Winery

The Port of Leonardtown Winery is home to one of the only cooperative wineries in the country--the Southern Maryland Winegrowers Cooperative. Established in 2010, the winery has produced many exceptional award-winning wines. The winery itself is a model of adaptive re-use as it is located in an abandoned state highways garage now remodeled into a warm and inviting space filled with local art.

The winery is adjacent to McIntosh Run (and Port of Leonardtown Park), a forested tidal run that spills out into Breton Bay. There are usually a few members of the cooperative around to talk shop as well as knowledgeable pourers to take you through a tasting. Sit back, sip back and enjoy!

The winery is on the Patuxent Wine Trail.

Port of Leonardtown Captains Club Members receive three Winemaker's choice wines each quarter, and also receive 15% discounts on wine purchases, member only events, exclusive wines and more! There is no fee to join. Visit the website or winery to sign up.
