Step away from the holiday rush and into an evening of Christmas beauty, music and celebration at Piney Point Lighthouse Museum & Historic Park—all while supporting the preservation, programs and educational experiences that keep our local history alive.

Created especially for guests 21 and older (tickets required), A Night of Elegance is a special fundraising evening benefiting the Friends of the St. Clement’s Island & Piney Point Lighthouse Museums. Your participation helps the Friends continue providing financial support to the St. Mary’s County Museum Division and the historic sites, programs, exhibits, and community events it serves.

To preserve the intimate and elegant atmosphere of this special evening, only 100 tickets will be sold. This limited-attendance event offers guests the opportunity to enjoy the museum and historic park in a way that is truly unique to the Christmas season.

Experience the historic park transformed for the Christmas season. Stroll through the illuminated grounds while Christmas music fills the air and discover 18 beautifully themed Christmas trees, three decorated historic buildings, a festive lighthouse and a spectacular 18-foot crab pot Christmas tree.

Make your way to the Maritime Building, where live Christmas music performed on piano sets the mood for an elegant evening. While there, visit the Kneaded Charcuterie Cart, where you’ll be served a charcuterie cup customized to your choosing, then stop by the cash bar for your favorite beverage.
Continue your evening with Christmas caroling in the Keeper’s Quarters and be sure to capture the occasion with a special photo to remember the night.

Before the evening is over, visit the main museum building, where carefully selected holiday vendors will offer unique gifts for those difficult-to-shop-for people on your Christmas list. While you’re there, browse our Silent Auction and place your bids for a chance to take home something special while providing additional support to the Friends.
