Guided Hikes @ Greenwell State Park

Introducing our new Guided Hike Program! This beginner-friendly program connects hikers of all ages and abilities to the park, the benefits of being surrounded by nature, and a hiking community. Rather than focusing on distance, our hikes focus on practicing mindfulness- slowing down, exploring your surroundings, and enjoying the journey.

Each hike also features a unique theme, different trail or focus, and added activity- no two hikes are exactly alike! Hikes are offered throughout the year. We hope
to see you out on the trails!

FALL GUIDED HIKE OFFERINGS
Spooky Halloween Costume & Bonfire Celebration, Friday, Oct. 30th | 5:30pm-8:30pm
Bring your costume for a bewitching twilight hike through the forest. Then enjoy ghost stories around the campfire, cocoa, cider, and s'mores.
 

Enchanted Village Hike, Friday, Nov. 13th | 3:30pm-5:30pm
Bring you whimsy and wonder and build some fairy houses! Explore the trails and find natural resources for your temporary fairy homes.
 

Forest Bathing & Brunch, Sunday, Nov. 15th | 9:30am-11:30am
Ground yourself in nature at Greenwell! Enjoy a slow, calming, mediative hike to a beautiful destination for a picnic brunch.

WINTER GUIDED HIKE OFFERINGS
Tails & Trails: Woodland Creature Craft, Friday, Nov. 20th | 10:00am-12:00pm
Bring the entire family for an interactive story time hike and craft! Hike to our perfect story time spot and then bring the characters to life by creating air-dry clay miniatures.
 

Candy Cane Lane Trek & Ugly Sweater Bonfire Celebration, Saturday, Dec. 5th | 2:00pm-5:00pm
Jingle all the way through a winter wonderland! Wear your ugliest sweater and hike the trials looking for hidden candy canes. Then enjoy a campfire and vote for the best ugly sweater!
 

Holiday Tree Trek, Friday, Dec. 18th | 2:00pm-5:00pm
Bring your cozy gear and winter cheer and embark on a Holiday Trek through the park! First we will create nature-safe ornaments, then enjoy a scenic winter hike to find the perfect tree to decorate!
