UCAC Juneteenth Celebration @ St. Mary's County Fairgrounds

The Unified Committee for Afro-American Contributions (UCAC) is excited to host the 22nd annual Juneteenth Freedom Day celebration. A free, fun, event for all ages! This year they are featuring: 

• Ms. Story's Living History
• Ni Dembaya African Drum and Dance Ensemble
• Get2Gether Band

The year 2026 marks the 250th anniversary of the Declaration of Independence--a PROMISE of Freedom for All.  Juneteenth celebrates the end of slavery in the United States--a PROMISE of Freedom for All.  Therefore, this year's theme this year is: Building on the Promise of Freedom for All

Juneteenth is a National Holiday commemorating and celebrating the end of slavery in America - a day of reflection, a day of renewal, a pride-filled day. It is a day for all Americans to come together to reflect on our past as a nation, celebrate the African American experience, and begin to build a brighter future together.
