Join us at Xella for a laid-back, hands-on oyster shucking experience led by Loose Stones Oyster Company. They’ll teach you everything you need to know, from how to hold the knife to what exactly you’re looking at once it pops open.
You’ll get your own setup (and yes, you take it home) plus a dozen oysters to practice on, and a glass of wine to keep things flowing.
We’ll cover:
– Oyster anatomy (don’t worry, the fun version)
– Tips + techniques for safe, clean shucking
– Why oysters are good for you and the environment
Then we shift from learning to eating.
We’ll grill your oysters to order with a lineup of toppings or serve them up raw with classic mignonettes so you can experiment and find your favorite.
