Take a leisurely paddle down Mcintosh Run then sip on a glass of wine at the Port of Leonardtown Winery. You are bound to see all sorts of wildlife, before you know it you will end up at the Leonardtown Wharf!

Or, start at Leonardtown Wharf and enjoy your day right on Brenton Bay by historic downtown Leonardtown. They also offer lessons, guided tours, and weekly social paddles. Off-site rentals are available with a reservation and an additional transportation fee.

Single-person kayaks, tandem kayaks, and stand-up paddleboards are accessible from an easy-to-use self-serve kayak kiosk, powered by Rent.Fun. Perfect for a spontaneous solo trip or a fun outing with friends—no reservations needed. Just download the app, unlock a kayak or paddleboard, and get out on the water! Paddles and lifejackets are included. Instructions and a download link are available on signage at the kiosk.

Find the rental station at Snow Hill Waterfront Park's kayak launch area, located on a calm cove with access to the Patuxent River. (Turn left at the white barn before the playground/beach parking area.) Always wear a lifejacket when using a kayak or stand-up paddleboard.
