The bluefish have moved into the bay. Trollers using surgical eel lures caught plenty of bluefish in the 18-to-24-inch category before the weather closed out Sunday and Monday. There were numerous cobia caught by trollers seeking blues in the area of the Target ship as late as Saturday when the cold front came through. The cobia caught and released were big! Tuesday will be the first day that weather permits a trip to mid-bay for trollers, chummers, and live eel fishermen targeting cobia. The rest of the week looks like excellent conditions.

Its going to be a great summer for bottom fishing.
